The Australian Music Alliance or "AMA" was conceived in 2018 by a group of Australian music professionals in the United States who wanted to see the nation's music industry better represented. It is now an initiative of the Pitchhiker Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to global music discovery and providing opportunities in the music industry.
AMA's advisory board is comprised of experienced music industry luminaries, from both creative and business backgrounds. AMA's objective is to be an "on the ground" presence and support for Aussie acts and their teams establishing themselves in the world's most exciting and influential music market. A connector, a place to land, and megaphone for our nation's talents.
AMA initiatives include AMA Breakers - a live stream that exposes emerging Australian acts produced out of Los Angeles and supported by the Australian Consulate Los Angeles, and KCRW's GLOBAL BEAT: AUSTRALIA - a weekly radio segment in partnership with the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project and LA's legendary KCRW, highlighting Australian artists and their stories to the entertainment capital of the world, supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
With many other projects in the works, please follow along on AMA social media channels or email list.
